School Uniform

At St Mary’s we have a policy of wearing uniform as we believe it looks smart and develops a positive attitude towards school life.

Parents are asked to co-operate in the provision of the following:-

BOYS:                                    White shirt / red or white polo shirt

Dark trousers, red school sweatshirt / red school fleece

GIRLS:                   White blouse / red or white polo shirt

Black or grey skirt/pinafore or trousers

Red school sweatshirt/cardigan /red school fleece

Summer: Blue or red check dress

PE Games Kit:    Plain black shorts

                                                Plain white t-shirt

                                                Black pumps

Please note children are not permitted to wear trainers during the school day except for playtime and lunchtime.

Sensible school shoes are to be worn each day – NOT trainers.

Sweatshirts / cardigans / fleeces can be purchased from the School Office.

To comply with the LA guidelines on safety, all jewellery has to be removed for PE and swimming.  Teachers are not allowed to remove earrings and we ask for your co-operation with this.  Please check PE and swimming times with class teachers so that you can assist your child.

All PE kits should remain in school for each half term to reduce the chance of children forgetting them and to establish a routine.

Please ensure that all individual items of clothing are clearly labelled.

Parents should note that the school does not accept responsibility for the loss or damage to personal property whilst on or left at the school premises.
