This is why I would like to build in some time away from their screens.

The children at home may not be able to do the same activities but I would like them to not be on their screens for this afternoon and think about other activities they can and enjoy doing.

RE

Our topic question for this term is, "How amazing is God's Creation?"

Watch the clip below which is a short film outlining what Pope Francis hopes for our world in the future in his letter "Laudato Si"

Look at the poster from CAFOD and think about designing your own poster which gets other people to think about how we can protect and preserve our planet for future generations.

Be as creative as you can!

Friday 22nd January 2021

We are at the end of week 3 of our Home Learning.

Mrs Beaumont is setting an Art/DT activity which will appear here.

I would like you to use the time also to complete any outstanding work you haven't completed.

I have received some work from most children but I thought you might like some time to catch up today on any activities which need finishing.

We have also SMASHED our class dojo target so the children in school will be having some free time on Friday so I want to make sure our HOME SCHOOLERS do too!!

Take the afternoon off.......relax and enjoy something you like to do.

Well done everyone for such a fantastic effort with your Home Learning.

Keep up the good work and have a great weekend.

Mrs Bx

Art/DT

Hi all, Mrs Beaumont here :-)

So I planted the seed on Wednesday (scroll down if you haven't seen it yet) that a project was coming and here it is!  To create a new product that you can use around the house using recycled materials. I gave you some ideas DT Recycling project ideas , or you can research further ideas by popping 'Craft Ideas with Recycled Materials ks2' into Google. Then you can start designing Design sheet 22.01.21

Keep collecting your recycling items you will need and we can start making our products next week :-)

I'm also aware that yesterdays Purple Mash/computing lesson info didn't appear on Thursdays tasks! I'm so sorry, I don't know what happened there :-(

For anyone who may have struggled with the task this was the information to help guide you through Creating the Game Environment lesson 21.01

Don't panic if you didn't manage todays 2do because of this, we can carry it over to next week if needs be.

I hope this helps! Mrs Beaumont x

When you have made your own list compare it with mine. this will be underneath the question sheet.

DT/Art project *coming soon*

We will be starting an ongoing project that will be using recycled items to create a new item of use! This way we are preventing more rubbish from going to land fills and doing our bit to help keep Gods world glorious! So start collecting/saving your household items that you would want to use and that would normally go into the bin!

Here are some ideas for creating a new item of use, of course you can come up with your own idea, this is more to help you realise what you may need to start collecting at home! DT Recycling project ideas

No need to start anything yet, just be thinking about what you want to create and start collecting at home!

Here are some examples of BIOGRAPHY writing.

These are here to show you a couple of examples of this style of writing.

You should all be able to explain to your parents what a cold task is but if you have forgotten then watch my video below.

BIOGRAPHY - Lesson introduction from Mrs Bowden

So now you have watched the video above, write a biography of someone you know. Remember it can be a famous person or it could be someone in your family.

INDIVIDUAL CHILDREN

Work will be uploaded on this webpage each week in case individual pupils are absent from school due to self isolation for a short period of 2-3 days whilst awaiting a Covid 19 test result.

If your child has to then self isolate for a longer period of time (10-14 days) then work will then be provided for them via Class Dojo or through this webpage.

The option to have this work in paper form can be available and parents must contact the office to request this.

WHOLE CLASS ISOLATION

If the whole class has to self isolate due to a confirmed case of Covid 19 in our bubble then work will be provided on a daily basis via Class Dojo or using this webpage. We will also use Purple Mash for Home Learning.

I will show the children how to access this in class so that they are ready should this situation arise.

We are using Class Dojo and Purple Mash as the pupils can submit work back to me via these platforms or through email and I can mark this and give feedback more easily.

ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE CONTACT ME VIA CLASS DOJO OR USING OUR CLASS EMAIL:
